The League First Aid course is the minimum qualification to be a First Responder for the under 6s-15s age groups. The course involves eLearning and Face to Face delivery where participants will learn how to manage Injury and Illness in a Rugby League environment. 
Any participants who hold a Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) certificate with more than 12 months currency, and a current Provide CPR (HLTAID001) certificate, are encouraged to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). 
Pre-requisites
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Must complete all eLearning before attending face to face training
Course Content
  • This course is delivered through both online eLearning and face to face training.
  • Face to face training is delivered over 7 hours
  • Contents include:
    • CPR / First Aid
    • The Role of the First Responder
    • ​​​​​​​Concussion Management
    • Management of the Injured Athlete
    • Transportation of an Injured Athlete
Additional information
Please bring pen and paper, enclosed footwear and a drink bottle. Please note meals are not provided as part of the course. Participants are encouraged to bring their own meals, snacks and water
